MARKS & SPENCER ARCHIVE, LEEDS
The Marks & Spencer archive is housed in the Michael Marks building at the University of Leeds. The archive traces the company’s over-a-hundred- year history, its transformation from a small open market stall in a northern English town into an iconic retailer. The exhibits include advertising materials, toys, clothing and business papers.
In 2011 R[cases] delivered eight museum-grade airtight showcases for the exhibition. They are mounted onto two plinths and come with internal fiber optic lighting.
