NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM, GREENWICH
The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich is the world’s largest maritime museum. Its vast holdings contain more than 2.5 million items. These give a look at the UK's rich history at sea. One of the museum's most prized exhibitions is the “Nelson, Navy, Nation” exhibition. It is dedicated to Britain's greatest naval hero Horatio Nelson and the history of the Royal Navy and British people from 1688–1815.
NMM recieved 26 display cases for the gallery, equipped with pull-and-slide or hinged doors, passive humidity control systems and fibre optic lighting. Among them worth a mention is the ‘explosion’ showcase telling the story of the firepower of the navy’s vessels. The name is a reference to the specific and challenging geometry.
